Christine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Bethel University in St. Paul and worked as an educator for many years prior to pursuing her Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota Graduate School in Minneapolis. In addition, she holds a graduate level certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Bethel University.

Christine enjoys working with children, ages 6 and up, teens, and adults of all ages. She values assisting clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, individuals, or couples who would like to improve their relationships, and couples who are preparing to make a lifetime commitment. She’s happy to work with family groups—her belief is that multiple perspectives can be very helpful in the therapy room. Christine sees value in tailoring the therapeutic experience to the unique needs of the individual or group she is working with and enjoys using a variety of approaches including therapeutic activities and play, as appropriate. She recognizes the impact that culture has on relationships, life experiences, and personal perspectives, and does ongoing work to learn and grow in cultural humility. Christine speaks Spanish conversationally as a second language and is happy to use Spanish in the therapy room when it is helpful to clients and their families.

Christine has specialized training in working with individuals and families living with autism; she can assist in dealing with the challenges autism can present while also celebrating the unique beauty of the autistic perspective as well.

Christine is comfortable supporting you in integrating your faith practices into your therapeutic journey and is equally comfortable supporting those who do not engage in specific faith practices.

Regardless of what brings you to the therapy room, Christine is ready to listen and support you in healing, growing, and working toward positive life change.
