Katie Delgado, MS

Counselor

Katie believes that therapy can be helpful for getting "unstuck" in relationship patterns; for growing in self-understanding and self-compassion; and for moving from surviving to thriving. She is committed to helping each client feel welcomed, known, and honored in their work together. Some of her areas of therapeutic interest include relational concerns, marital distress, life transitions, grief/loss, premarital counseling, trauma-informed care, family-of-origin issues, shame, and identity development.

Before coming to Arden Woods, Katie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Teaching Emphasis and her Master of Science degree in College Counseling and Student Development through Azusa Pacific University. Katie spent nine years in a live-in professional role where she addressed relational, academic, wellness, and mental health concerns of students. She is currently on the faculty at Bethel University, teaching classes on Wellbeing, and has facilitated trainings for local non-profit organizations on topics including attachment styles, emotionally healthy spirituality, the Enneagram, and StrengthsFinder. Katie is comfortable integrating spirituality and faith practices to the extent that her clients desire.

But there's another way... To let ourselves be seen, deeply seen, vulnerably seen. To love with our whole hearts, even though there's no guarantee... to believe that we're enough.
