Betsy Ahlers – MA LMFT

Betsy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her master’s degree from Bethel Theological Seminary and has worked in a variety of settings including in-home therapy and in private practice. She works with families, couples and individuals. She has training in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy).

Betsy works with adolescents to seniors. Her goal is to meet the clients where they are in their journey and to foster hope, strength and resilience in their lives. She focuses as a therapist on anxiety, depression, trauma, adoption, grief and loss, spirituality, marriage counseling and family therapy. By building on the strengths of the individual, couple or family, she helps to move them to a place of health and well-being. She has found EMDR is a very powerful tool to access areas of struggle which are difficult to manage through talk therapy alone. By incorporating this method, along with DBT, she has seen new levels of freedom and functioning in clients of all ages. She is committed to assisting her clients integrating their change into their improving their lives at all levels.
