Dr. Tom Hainlen is a license psychologist who received his Doctorate from Rosemead School of Psychology. After teaching at Northwestern College in Roseville MN, he helped found Arden Woods Psychological Services and now serves as Director of the clinic. Dr. Hainlen maintains an active private practice in which he works on an individual basis with adolescents and adults as well as with couples on marital and parenting issues.
Dr. Hainlen has special interests in working with anxiety and trauma recovery, as well as a focus on anger, stress management, depression, trauma, shame, grief and loss, spirituality, parenting, and helping adolescents master the process of moving into adulthood. A primary area of interest for Tom is brain functioning with a focus on how the rational and emotional minds interact. When this balance is mastered many issues of life are more easily resolved and handled. In addition, he focuses on developing effective communication, both internally and with others, which enhances all areas of life. Two issues which excite Tom are understanding the power of forgiveness in healing from hurts and the effectiveness of true humility in developing a rich, confident and impactful life. Being a therapist has allowed Tom to find much satisfaction in joining others on their journey out of struggle and into health.
