Abby Myhra, MA is a pre-licensed therapist who is passionate about walking with individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges and successes. Abby believes in digging into the roots of concerns to uncover individuals’ inherent resiliency that can lead to growth and healing. She strives to foster a safe and empathetic therapeutic space, where individuals and families can feel a sense of peace and support. She operates from a person-centered, strengths-based therapeutic approach and integrates additional theories based on the unique client in front of her.
 

Abby enjoys working with children ages 7 and up, adolescents, and adults of all ages. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, self-compassion, family of origin issues, life transitions, couples seeking deeper connection and intimacy, as well as working with college students, couples preparing for marriage, and individuals experiencing grief and loss. She is open to incorporating spirituality into her practice, based on her clients' preferences.

Abby earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and went on to receive her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Counseling Psychology, specializing in marriage and family therapy. Before coming to Arden Woods, Abby worked with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families utilizing applied behavioral analysis to enhance communication and life skills.
